Styling Fall Essentials
Welcome back everyone! It’s officially my favorite season of the year - Fall! The leaves are changing, and so are your wardrobes. It‘s time to bring out your favorite sweater and comfiest scarves cause this season is all about warmth (and staying warm). Now that I’ve officially swapped my closet from my Summer clothes to Fall/Winter clothes, it’s time I show you guys how I style my favorite pieces to wear for the season! The good thing is these items are basically outfit staples everyone should already have in their closet, so you don’t have to break the bank for these looks 😄 let’s get into it!
With it getting a bit more chilly outside, a leather jacket is perfect for this season. They can be worn with an edgy look or even casually with some joggers, either way you can’t go wrong with one of these! The one I’m wearing is from Topshop, paired with some DIY denim, an emerald green wrap top and cute booties from Nordstrom. Also, this shade of green is perfect for this season as it matches the colors of the leaves nicely.
Midi Skirt + Animal Print
I know for some a midi skirt isn’t considered a must-have piece in their closet but that’s not to say you shouldn’t have one. Its the perfect transitional piece from wearing flirty summer dresses to wearing fuller length skirts once the weather cools down. The olive green color goes perfectly with the accents in the snake print top! Animal print has made a heavy comeback throughout past seasons - and is definitely here to stay. With most prints having neutral colors in them, it makes it easy to pair with pretty much anything. I styled this midi skirt with a cute snake print top (from Walmart!!! How crazy 🤯) and taupe Steve Madden booties. Obsessed isn’t even the word for this fit. 🐍
Turtlenecks + Plaid
Honestly would it even be Fall if you didn’t have a turtleneck?!? Didn’t think so. If you know me you know by now these are my go-to for my fall fits, they keep me warm while also making me look chic in the process. They also go with everything - jeans, skirts, pants, nice trousers - aka everything! I love the look of this turtleneck with my plaid pants (which were thrifted btw) because it gives the look a more polished feel. Plaid is a perfect print for Fall because it also gives off a collegiate vibe, or a back-to-school look. I styled my outfit with burgundy patent leather booties and a cute leather newsboy cap! Very collegiate if you ask me.
I hope these outfits gave you guys some inspiration on how to style pieces you already own in your closet! Happy Fall ☺️🍂🍃
